1. Who can enter

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over who own, or are authorised by the owner of, a residential property within the Promoter’s usual service area, or who have confirmed with the Promoter that an out-of-area property may be considered. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible. The Promoter may ask the provisional winner to verify their identity, age, property ownership or authority to enter.

2. How to enter

During the Promotion Period, an eligible person must comment on the Promotion Post with a horror-movie title for their bathroom. Each eligible person may submit one entry per listed Promotion Post. If the promotion is posted on more than one platform, an entrant may enter once on each listed post. Additional comments by the same person on the same post will not increase their chance of winning and may be disregarded.

The comment is the entry. Likes, shares, or tags are optional and do not increase chances of winning. Comments on other Jacobi Constructions posts do not count. Entries must be made from a genuine account and remain visible to the Promoter when the draw is conducted. Late, incomplete, automated or fraudulent entries are invalid. Entry is free.

3. The prize

There is one prize: a standard renovation of one existing bathroom at the winner’s nominated property, with a maximum total value of $25,000 including GST (Prize). The Prize is renovation work, not cash. Before work begins, the Promoter will inspect the site and provide the winner with a written scope of included works and standard selection allowances. The winner may choose fixtures, fittings and finishes within those allowances. Optional upgrades above an allowance may be separately quoted and will only proceed if the winner agrees in writing to pay the additional amount, in the form of an official contract variation.

The Prize is for a standard bathroom renovation only. It does not include:

  • structural alterations, changes to the floor plan or bathroom footprint, or removal or alteration of load-bearing walls, roof framing, slabs, structural floors, external walls, windows or doors;

  • asbestos or other hazardous-material testing, removal, transport or disposal;

  • rectification of pre-existing structural defects, water damage, rot, mould, termite damage or non-compliant work, or work required because of concealed site conditions;

  • engineering, certification, council or other authority fees, unless expressly included in the written scope; or

  • any work, item, upgrade or cost not expressly listed in the agreed written scope.

If the site inspection identifies excluded work or a condition that prevents the Prize being completed as a standard renovation, the Promoter will explain this to the provisional winner before the Qualifying Project contract is signed. The winner may decline any extra-cost work. If the bathroom cannot reasonably be completed within the Prize scope, the provisional winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be drawn.

4. Qualifying Jacobi Constructions project condition

The winner will receive the Prize only if, within 30 calendar days after being notified as the provisional winner, they enter into a separate written building contract with the Promoter for an eligible residential building, renovation or extension project at the same property (Qualifying Project). The Qualifying Project contract value must exceed $50,000 including GST, calculated before applying the Prize. The bathroom Prize is not included in calculating the $50,000 threshold.

The Promoter’s usual service area is the Moreton Bay Council area. Projects outside this area may be discussed on request and are eligible only if the Promoter confirms it can service the property. A Qualifying Project is subject to site inspection, agreed scope and price, the Promoter’s capacity and a contract signed by both parties. The project contract price must be the Promoter’s genuine ordinary price for the agreed scope and must not be increased because of this promotion. If the provisional winner does not sign the Qualifying Project contract within the 30-day period, they forfeit the Prize and an alternate winner may be drawn.

5. Winner selection and notification

One provisional winner will be selected at random from all valid entries on Monday 2 November 2026. Each valid entry has an equal chance of being drawn. The Promoter will reply to the winning comment and contact the provisional winner by direct message through the platform used to enter within two business days of the draw. The provisional winner must respond within seven calendar days and satisfy the eligibility, site and Qualifying Project conditions. If they cannot be contacted, are ineligible, do not respond in time, or do not satisfy those conditions, an alternate winner may be selected at random from the remaining valid entries. The winner’s name will be published on Facebook and Instagram.

6. PRIZE DELIVERY AND TIMING

To accept the Prize, the winner must agree in writing that the bathroom renovation may be delivered more than one month after the draw. The agreed timing will be recorded in the signed Qualifying Project contract or a separate written prize schedule.

The bathroom renovation will be scheduled with the Qualifying Project. The start date will be agreed with the winner, taking into account their requested timing, the agreed scope, access, selections, approvals, weather, the Promoter’s availability and workload, trade availability and construction sequencing. The renovation must commence no later than 30 June 2027 and will be completed in line with the agreed construction program.

The Promoter and winner will confirm the scope and timing in writing before work begins.

7. General conditions

The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Any unused amount below the $25,000 maximum is not payable as cash or credit. The Promoter may disqualify an entrant who breaches these terms or tampers with the entry process.

If an event outside the Promoter’s reasonable control makes the promotion impracticable or impossible to run as described, the Promoter may vary, suspend or cancel the promotion to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Privacy and social media

The Promoter will use public comments to administer the draw and contact the provisional winner. The winner’s name may be published as described in clause 5. Personal details other than the winner’s first name, including their address and other property details, will not be published. Those details will be collected and used only for eligibility verification, site assessment, contractual purposes, and arranging and delivering the Qualifying Project and Prize. The promoter will not use entrants’ comments or the winner’s bathroom images in marketing beyond the public comment and winner announcement without separate permission.
